Abstract
This paper is an introduction to a program of research and communitybuilding among the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Indian Reservation in western Montana. Ms. Dupuis’ life experience blended into her master’s thesis, which in turn was the basis for a pilot/feasibility study. Below we describe the authors and their partnership, providing the conceptual basis and some qualitative data as the basis for the growing program of research.
