Abstract
"Basílio desenvolve toda a sua teologia no contexto de luta contra a teologia ariana no IV século. São Basílio Magno, um dos três capadócios, teve uma importância fundamental na luta contra a teologia ariana. Entre os anos 374 e 375, Basílio compôs a sua obra Sobre o Espírito Santo, dedicada a Anfilôquio de Icônia, que parece lhe ter pedido instrução sobre o Espírito Santo. Esta obra se compõe de 30 capítulos, nos quais Basílio trata da consubstancialidade, isto é, da mesma dignidade, que possui o Espírito Santo em relação ao Pai e ao Filho" ["Basil develops all of his theology in the context of the fight against the Arian theology in the fourth century.
