Abstract
Bioethics is a peacebuilding tool that can also be understood as a way to counteract the imbalances that threaten coexistence. Thus, it is pertinent to study from the perspective of bioethics how women have overcome their different contexts, and in different times and territories have sought to build peace. This work studies the women’s movements for peace in Liberia, Israel, Palestine, and Colombia, in these countries have highlighted the urgent need to discuss crimes against children and women, linking forms of collective articulation. It will describe the reasons why these movements are or have been successful, analyzing some of the actions under a bioethical approach for peacebuilding, showing how these mechanisms enable women to face and overcome the pain and trauma in their bodies and emotions to fight for the future of their territories.
