Abstract
"El artículo comenta el “discurso comunitario” de Mateo 18, el cual concentra la rica experiencia eclesial de todo el Evangelio. Se demuestra el carácter coherente del texto, cuidadosamente construido y con un sabor a síntesis. El comienzo (vv. 1-5) y el final (vv. 23-35) del capítulo se corresponden y su idea central es la inmensa gratuidad del amor de Dios. Este es el marco en el cual debe desarrollarse la vida de la Iglesia. Fuera de él caemos en reglas puramente formales, abusos de poder y vida según las categorías mundanas que privilegian a los poderosos. En el centro del capítulo (vv. 19-20) está la presencia de Cristo resucitado en la fraternidad de la comunidad. Todos los temas de este discurso eclesial giran en torno a las ideas matrices de la gratuidad y la fraternidad" "The article comments the “communitary speech” of Mt. 18, which condenses the rich eclesial experience of the Gospel. It demonstrates the coherent character of the text, thoroughly built and which a synthetic flavor. The beginning (v. 1-5) and the end (v. 23-35) of the chapter are mutually correspondent, and their central idea is the profound gratuity of God’s love. This is the frame through which Church life has to develop. Outside it we only fall down on merely formal rules, power abuse and life depending on worldly categories which privilege the powerful ones. In the middle of the chapter (v. 19-20) is the presence of Christ arisen within the fraternity of the community. All topics of this ecclesial speech deal with matrix ideas of gratuity and fraternity"
