Abstract
Resumen. En este trabajo de investigación se presenta la experiencia de una empresa mexicana dedicada a la fabricación y distribución de acumuladores automotrices (Enertec México, S. de R. L. de C. V.), esta experiencia enfocada al uso de un portal de internet denominado Sucursal Virtual a través del cual se han orientado gran parte de sus operaciones de ventas y mercadotecnia, que a su vez han traído una serie de beneficios tangibles e intangibles. La investigación está basada en el método de estudio de casos a través de entrevistas a un grupo de expertos de dicha empresa. Palabras claves. This investigation work is about a the experience of a Mexican company dedicated to the factory and distribution of automotive batteries (Enertec México, S. de R. L. de C. V.), this experience focused to the use of a internet portal denominated Virtual Branch through which great part of its operations of sales and marketing have been guided that in turn have brought a series of tangible and intangible benefits.
