"El catolicismo español ha registrado un notable cambio en los veinte últimos años. Según un importante estudio sociológico de Pedro González Blasco y Juan González Anleo, patrocinado por la Fundación Santa María, sobre "Religión y sociedad en la España de los 90", el95 7o de los españoles ha sido bautizado, pero sólo un 72Vo se considera católico.
