Abstract
"La presente nota tiene por objetivo realizar una revisión crítica del Informe Sobre Desarrollo Humano, publicado anualmente desde 1990, por el Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (PNUD). En su primera parte, se resumen los principales temas discutidos por el Informe, así como las conclusiones y recomendaciones formuladas. Posteriormente, se analiza con detenimiento las características del Indice de Desarrollo Humano y sus productos derivados, haciendo hincapié en las críticas efectuadas en la literatura. Si bien este artículo no pretende zanjar la intensa polémica en torno al Informe y a su propuesta de medición del desarrollo humano, los temas aquí tratados ofrecen al lector una sencilla orientación con respecto al controversial tema. ["This note aims to make a critical review of the Human Development Report , published annually since 1990 by the United Nations Program for Development ( UNDP). The main themes discussed by the report , and the conclusions and recommendations are summarized in the first part . Subsequently , we analyze in detail the characteristics of the Human Development Index and its derivatives, emphasizing the criticisms made in the literature.
