Abstract
"El año del Jubileo, casi siempre nos recuerda una permanente utopía que cuestiona opresiones y esclavitudes, y así debe continuar siendo proclamado en nuestras comunidades. En este artículo, sin embargo, buscando llegar al conflicto que produjo esa legislación, descubriremos que el Jubileo fue el instrumento legitimador para que, en Judá, las tierras del “pueblo de la tierra” volviesen a ser propiedad del grupo de Esdras y Nehemías. Hubo muchas resistencias en medio de los campesinos. El Jubileo solamente interesa a los pobres cuando es proclamado según la voluntad de Jesús que, por eso mismo, fue amenazado de muerte" "The Jubilee year almost always evokes a permanent utopia, which calls into question oppression and slavery. And thus it must continue to be proclaimed in our communities. In this article, however, as we study the conflict, which produced this legislation, we discover that Jubilee was an instrument of legitimation, so that the lands of the “people of the land” might go back to being the property of the group represented by Ezra and Nehemiah. There was considerable resistance on the part of the peasants. The Jubilee is in the interest of the poor when it is proclaimed according to the logic of Jesus, who, as a result, was threatened with death"
