Abstract
"Este artículo se enfoca en Isaías 7 y el llamado Libro del Emmanuel (Isaías 6-12). El análisis parte de su contexto histórico de referencia, que es la época del rey Acaz, pero considerando y tratando de discernir también los nuevos horizontes de sentido que se fueron entretejiendo en el texto como producto de relecturas posteriores. Se destaca el motivo de la alianza a la que alude el texto, y que es central en la ideología profética, como una clave para la conjuración de las situaciones de angustia y amenazas que se describen, y como un nuevo punto de partida para recrear la esperanza e imaginar un futuro mejor. Al final se exploran algunas implicaciones del imaginario profético de referencia, en particular la idea de que “Dios vive o habita en el ser humano” y su correlatividad en la relectura neotestamentaria y las tradiciones del judaísmo antiguo." "This article focuses on Isaiah 7 and the so-called book of Immanuel (Isaiah 6-12). The analysis begins with the historical context, which refers to the period of King Ahaz's reign, but it considers also the new horizons of meaning, which were interwoven into the text following new perspectives that emerged a later date. The article highlights the motif of the covenant within the text. The concept of covenant is central to the prophet's ideology and is key to overcoming the situation of fear and threats, which is described in the text. The covenant offers a new starting point from which to strengthen hope and to imagine a better future. Finally, the article explores some of the implications of the prophetic imaginary, especially the idea that "God lives or dwells in the human being", an idea, which corresponds to both New Testament readings and certain traditional Jewish interpretations."
