罗纳德•德沃金教授（Ronald Dworkin,1931——）在其长期的学术研究生涯中，密切关注并 紧密结合美国社会现实，推出了一系列世人瞩目的论著，主要有：《认真对待权利》，《原则 问题》，《法律帝国》，《自由的法：对美国宪法的道德解读》，《至上的美德：平等的理论 与实践》等。在我看来，德沃金主要从平等的权利问题入手，展开他对当代西方自由主义世界 几乎全部问题的论述，因此，他的平等思想尤其值得我们关注。
