Abstract
"El Ayuntamiento de Rivas, ante la demanda creciente de ciudadanos y ciudadanas de ejercer el derecho de Libertad Religiosa y por lo mismo, y en el marco de ese derecho, su decisión de mantenerse dentro de la Iglesia católica o salir fuera de sus registros de fieles –derecho de cancelación de datos– y que es un derecho protegido por la Normativa Legal de Protección de Datos, y en consonancia con la convicción que en materia de igualdad y derechos tenemos en el Ayuntamiento creó la Oficina de Apostasía en el año 2008, encargada de ayudar y apoyar jurídicamente las solicitudes en esta materia de los ciudadanos y ciudadanas de todo el Estado español, así comenzó su andadura esta Oficina, en el apoyo y asesoramiento para el ejercicio de esas libertades, habiendo proporcionado apoyo y asesorado a la ciudadanía de Rivas y, en ocasiones, de otros municipios del Estado español" ["The City of Rivas, with the growing demand of citizens to exercise the right of religious freedom and the same, and under that law, his decision to stay within the Catholic Church or go outside their records of faithful -right cancellation data- and is a right protected by the Legal data Protection legislation, and consistent with the belief in equality and rights we have in the City Council created the Office of Apostasy in 2008, responsible help and legally support claims in this matter of citizens around the Spanish State, started out this Office, support and advice for the exercise of these freedoms, having provided support and advice to citizens of Rivas and, occasionally, other municipalities of the Spanish State"]
