Abstract
"O objetivo do estudo é conhecer e refletir sobre o que está sendo publicado na literatura científica sobre a questão da morte e o morrer em suas nuances bioéticas, bem como o modo como os profissionais de saúde estão enfrentando e discutindo tais aspectos. Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo-descritivo, através do levantamento bibliográfico. Faz-se indispensável ao profissional de saúde superar as dificuldades inerentes a uma relação médico/paciente baseada "tentação tecnológica", reunir os fragmentos e compor novamente o todo desse indivíduo, muitas vezes, tão violentado e, desse modo, estabelecer um compromisso com a vida, entendida como o bem maior e digna de respeito. Ou ainda, o que é mais perigoso, um profissional autômato, adotando uma postura mecânica, dissociada de seus aspectos humanos mais intrínsecos. Nessa trajetória empreendida a algumas décadas pelo binômio vida/morte, percebe-se que o cuidar exige, essencialmente, compartilhar com seu paciente experiências e vivências que culminem na ampliação do foco de atenção do cuidador, sem perder de vista a compreensão da pessoa que adoece em sua singularidade e dignidade. A dificuldade na comunicação médico-paciente, o temor dos sentimentos, o isolamento das emoções (neutralidade) e a dinâmica de onipotência e idealização (identificação médica com a imagem de plenitude), são alguns dos fatores que assombram a assistência à saúde" ["The objective of the present study was to learn and reflect about what is being published in the scientific literature regarding the question of death or dying in its bioethical nuances, as well as about the way health professionals face and discuss these aspects. This is a qualitativedescriptive study based on a bibliographic survey. It is indispensable for the health professional to overcome the difficulties inherent in a doctor/patient relationship based on "technological temptation", to reunite the fragments and recompose the wholeness of the individual, often so violently aggressed, thus establishing a pact with life, understood as the greatest good and worthy of respect. What is noted in health practice is a professional immersed in this ample context who, because of this, is paralyzed, with no condition to reflect and to program a sustained action in the presence of the bioethical dilemmas imposed on his/her daily practice. In this trajectory followed a few decades ago by the life/death binomial, it can be perceived that caregiving essentially requires sharing experiences with the patients that culminate in the expansion of the focus of attention of the caregiver, without losing sight of the understanding of the person who falls ill in his singularity. The difficulty in doctor-patient communication, the fear of one's feelings, the isolation (neutrality) of one's emotions and the dynamics of omnipotency and idealization (medical identification with the image of plenitude) are some of the factors that negatively affect health care"]
