Abstract
"Em seu ensaio sobre o narrador, Walter Benjamin afirma que, no mundo moderno, a arte de narrar está em vias de extinção. Benjamin se refere a um tipo de narrador que se aproxima do antigo contador de histórias, responsável, nas sociedades primitivas, pela preservação e transmissão da memória coletiva. O acervo de tradições, lendas e costumes era passado de geração a geração através das histórias contadas por um velho, detentor não apenas de uma rica experiência como também da habilidade de convertê-la em prazer e sabedoria para os ouvintes" ["In his essay on the narrator, Walter Benjamin says that the world modern, the art of narrating is endangered.
