Abstract
"Turkish Psychological Association’s ethics code was developed in order to identify the standards for the profession and field of psychology and to apply and maintain these standards in the highest level. Ethical principles determine the common values of psychologists. They help psychologists in evaluating themselves and making plans in their daily practices, as well as in developing a platform upon which psychologists can offer services to the public. In addition, they guide psychologists in resolving ethical dilemmas that they may face. By giving psychologists the opportunity to assess whether the ethical principles are being adhered to, they protect psychologists, as well as those who are being served by psychologists and the public in general. Ethical standards, on the other hand, make it possible for ethical principles to be applicable by defining possible ways of handling ethical dilemmas."
