Abstract
This article attempts to study the Islamic psychology of epistemological ideas established based on the revelation concerning the possibility of man to know the reality and to self-knowing as the prerequisite for man before knowing the reality beyond the self. This, however, does not necessarily mean denying the importance of intellect and the man’s empirical senses. Nonetheless, since the position of revelation reigns supreme and transcendentally absolute, the intellect and the man’s empirical senses as God-given should go along with the guidance and the truth of the revelation.
