Abstract
"La asignatura “Educación para la ciudadanía y los derechos humanos” es una de las principales innovaciones de la LOE. Esta nueva enseñanza, que era demandada desde hace años por amplios sectores del mundo cristiano y del mundo no creyente en España, ha sido rechazada por la jerarquía de la Iglesia y por algunos movimientos católicos conservadores. Más allá de las polémicas en los medios de comunicación, ofrecemos a nuestros lectores tres textos valiosos que presentan las razones de fondo de las diversas posiciones que existen sobre esta temática. En primer lugar, las tesis defendidas por la Comisión Permanente de la CONFERENCIA EPISCOPAL. En segundo lugar, un artículo del secretario de la Conferencia Episcopal, Juan Antonio MARTÍNEZ CAMINO. En tercer lugar, un texto solicitado por nuestra revista a José Antonio MARINA, uno de los principales intelectuales españoles y autor de los libros de texto sobre esta asignatura de la editorial SM. Entre las obras de Marina, queremos destacar para este debate sus libros Dictamen sobre Dios y ¿Por qué soy cristiano?" ["The subject "Education for Citizenship and Human Rights" is one of the main innovations of the LOE. This new teaching, that was demanded for years by large sectors of the world Christian and unbelieving world in Spain, has been rejected by the hierarchy of the Church and some conservative Catholic movements. Beyond the controversy in the media, we offer our readers three valuable texts that present the reasons background of the various positions that exist on this subject. First, the thesis defended by the Standing Committee of the BISHOPS. Second, an article clerk of Juan Antonio Martínez CAMINO Episcopal Conference. Third Instead, a text requested by our magazine José Antonio MARINA, a leading Spanish intellectuals and author of books Text on this subject from the publisher SM. Among the works of Marina, we want to emphasize to this debate his books Opinion on God and Why I am a Christian?"]
