Abstract
This paper explores the Islamic perspective on the ideal leadership in Indonesia as multicultural and multi-religious country. As a result, there are five criteria that are required for the leader: tauhid, love, justice, kadar and fana. The leader in Religious institution such as MUI and also Islamic education have significant role to spread out the Islamic values such as tolerance, love, and peaceful.
