Abstract
"O presente artigo objetiva apresentar o pensamento de Heschel em seus principais pontos relacionados à possibilidade do Diálogo Inter-religioso. O texto está dividido em dois momentos. Inicialmente há uma apresentação biográfica de Heschel e as influências do hassidismo na formação de seu pensamento. Num segundo momento, os principais conceitos filosófico-teológicos são considerados, principalmente o conceito de pathos divino, podendo-se afirmar que as reflexões de Heschel se apresentam como referencial para a compreensão judaica do contexto pluralista. A partir daí, como conclusão, apresenta-se as atividades e engajamento em questões sociais e na busca de diálogo inter-religioso" ["This article presents the Heschel’s thought in his main points related to the possibility of Interreligious Dialogue. The text is divided into two parts. Initially there is a biographical presentation of Heschel and the influences of Hasidism in the formation of his thought. Secondly, the main philosophical and theological concepts are considered, especially the concept of divine pathos, and can say that Heschel's reflections are presented as reference for the Jewish understanding of pluralistic context. Then, in conclusion, presents the activities and engagement in social issues and the search for inter-religious dialogue"]
