Abstract
Self-interest is no longer a viable principle to guide us. It has lead to our current state of affairs: a consumerist society based on a “universe of me” that engages in wars to plunder resources and whose over-consumption results in the waste that is sickening us and our planet. We need a new point of orientation to guide us out of our current crisis, and I would like to share with you a very brief sketch of such an alternative point of orientation offered up to us by what I would like to call the utopian
