Abstract
"Este ensaio teve origem em minha participação na mesa-redonda Mulheres e homens: fiéis às suas religiões? cuja proposta foi fazer uma reflexão sobre os dados recentes das religiões no país, com base nas pesquisas da Fundação Getúlio Vargas (2007) e Datafolha (2007), os quais evidenciam que a Igreja Católica vem perdendo fiéis, sobretudo, femininos. O objetivo deste texto é tanto refletir sobre estes dados, como repensar os vínculos entre o fenômeno religioso e as questões de gênero, sob a ótica das idéias do feminismo contemporâneo".
