"El tres de octubre de 1988 fue un día histórico. Representantes en el área educativa de nueve países latinoamericanos se dieron cita en la ciudad de Panamá para celebrar la Sexta Sesión Plenaria Trienal del Comité Directivo del Servicio de Educación Cristiana. Con algunos días de anticipación iban llegando los integrantes de tal modo que cada comida que se compartía contaba con algún nuevo comensal que enriquecía el buen ánimo de los representantes" ["On October 3, 1988 was a historic day.
