Abstract
Three of the interpretations that western jurists make on the classical Greek tragedy Antigone are pervading in China，namely，the approach of natural law，familial ethics and feminism．However，everyone has its defect，and going with it are revealed the limitations that the Chinese academia have in the research methodology．The tendency to conduct the second—hand materials in a doctrinary way can be avoided by opposing essentialism，interpreting the text in its context，paying attention to the details，and thinking from multi—perspectives．In the meanwhile，taking into consideration the tensions between different cultures or academic approaches can also expand the theoretical horizon through a interpretive way．
