Abstract
"Em 1978, M. K. Ŷa‘far publicou a primeira precária edição da Espístola da interpretação (Risālat al-I‘tibār), obra até então desconhecida. O célebre autor sufí Ibn Masarra de Córdoba (883-931) defende a necessidade de se recorrer à razão e à reflexão para interpretar os signos do cosmos e do Livro revelado. O declínio da profecía corresponde, em sentido inverso, ao proceso ascendente da inferencia. A tradução anotada aqui apresentada, baseada na nova edição mais rigorosa e completa do manuscrito, responde à necessidade de sanar as deficiências da única tradução existente, feita para o inglês por J. Kenny" ["M. K. Ŷa‘far published in 1978 a first precarious edition of the Epistle on Interpretation (Risālat al-I‘tibār), previously unknown. In this main Sufi work, Ibn Masarra al-Qurŧubī (883-931) explains the need of reflection to interpret the signs of the universe as well as the signs of the revealed Book. To the descent of revelation corresponds the ascent of reason in the process of inference. The Spanish annotated translation presented here, which is based in a new, more rigorous and complete edition, aims to rectify the shortcomings of the unique preceding existent translation by J. Kenny"]
