Abstract
"Aquest estudi pretén de situar dins un context filològic, cultural i filosòfic l’«itinerari de la mirada» que llegim en la «narració de la Caverna» del llibre VII de La República de Plató. Amb aquest propòsit es posen en relleu algunes consideracions sobre la relació de complementarietat entre la «imatge» i la «paraula». El fragment platònic tractat aquí és llegit com un «exercici filosòfic» de la «mirada» del tot necessari per tal d’accedir a la contemplació del Bé, condició indispensable per a exercir el poder polític a la Ciutat" ["This paper charts the “journey of looking” in the narrative of Plato’s Cave in Book VII of The Republic, following its course across a specific philological, cultural and philosophical terrain. To this end, certain considerations are highlighted regarding the complementary relationship between the “image” and “word”. The passage in question is read as a necessary “philosophical exercise in looking” that leads to the contemplation of Good, an indispensable condition for the wielding of political power in the City"]
