Abstract
In the poems of the great Bengali poet Ramprasad Sen we see female emancipation is not restricted to human beings only but to divine ones, too. In this case a mythical figure, Kali, the Mother-Goddess, liberates herself from the bondage of a mother who has been and is still misused as a slave by religiously infantile males.
