"Uma pessoa religiosa, diante da perseguição, sente-se protegida por Deus: eis o que o Salmo 23 descreve. Metaforicamente, um animal – e não o rebanho! – experimenta, de forma surpreendente e duradoura, o pastoreio e a hospitalidade do Senhor, Deus de Israel, embora não falte quem insiste na agressão.
