Abstract
"La pluralidad en los orígenes cristianos fue un hecho. La comunidad de Edessa y su posterior configuración como iglesia Persa es un ejemplo concreto. Oriente tuvo su propio dinamismo misional, eclesial y teológico, por eso no le debe nada al occidente cristiano. De esta afirmación dan testimonio obras como: el evangelio de Dídimo Judas Tomás, que tiene un estilo oriental de “cotidiana sabiduría”. La historia del rey Abgar, una bella historia epistolar entre un rey y Jesús, que por detrás de las palabras revela una antiquisima raíz misional anterior a la misión occidental. El Diatesarón, una armonía de los cuatro evangelios hecho por Tasiano. A estos testimonios se suman otros como la escuela de Efrén y el obispo Nestorio que construyeron expresiones teológicas orientales frente a la occidentalización del cristianismo" "The plurality of the Christian origins was a fact. The Edessa community and its later configuration as a Persian church is a concrete example. The Orient had its own missionary, eclesial and theological dynamism, which is why it does not owe anything to western Christian works like: the gospel of Dydimo Judas Thomas, that has an oriental style of “everyday life wisdom”, give testimony to this affirmation. The history of King Abgar is a beautiful epistolary history between the king and Jesus, which reveals between the lines a very old missionary source previous to the occidental mission. The Diathessaron is a harmonisation of the four gospels compiled by Tasian. Together with these witnesses there are other works like Efren’s school and that of the Bishop Nestorius who elaborated theological expressions as against the occidentalization of Christianity"
