Abstract
"La investigación sobre la lamentación, en el AT, creció a partir de Hermann Gunkel. Desde entonces, la lamentación dejó de ser un simple estudio sobre el género literario en el libro de los Salmos para convertirse en una investigación sobre un elemento teológico y cultural del pueblo de la Biblia. Por esa razón se justifica, primeramente, una tentativa de esbozar la historia de la práctica de lamentar en el AT, teniendo como origen el grito de los esclavos hebreos (Éxodo 3,7-10), y posteriormente constatar y explicar los motivos por los cuales la lamentación ejerció un papel preponderante en la formación de la tercera parte de la Biblia Hebrea, los Escritos, así como en el establecimiento del orden o secuencia de los libros en ese bloque." "Research on lamentation in the OT has advanced since the time of Hermann Gunkel. Since then lamentation has ceased to be a simple study of a theological and cultural aspect of the people of the Bible. For this reason, it is justified, first, to attempt to sketch the history of the practice of lamentation in the OT, which has its origin in the outcry of the Hebrew slaves (Ex 3,7-10), and, later, state and explain the reasons why lamentation was a preponderant factor in the formation of the third part of the Hebrew Bible, the Writings, as well as the order or sequence of books in this bloc."
