Abstract
"Cada época histórica é marcada por certas palavras-chave, que conseguem captar o espírito daquele tempo. Hoje, tudo o que se refere ao âmbito do “Bios” (vida) tem uma instigante novidade, bem como um singular atrativo. Estamos falando de “biogenética” (nova ciência da recriação da vida), de “bioterrorismo” (fabricação de armas biológicas com potencial destrutivo de vidas), “biocombustíveis” (novas fontes de energia extraída dos vegetais) e “biologia molecular” (abrindo as portas para a revolução genômica), entre tantas outras especialidades que começam com o prefixo “Bios”. Em meio a essa explosão de conhecimentos novos ligados à “vida”, surge “a bioética” como um marco crítico de reflexão e discernimento de valores diante dessa revolução bio-tecno-científica. O presente artigo objetiva refletir a trajetória do ideário bioético nesses quarenta anos, tomando por base o cenário do tempo das incertezas e as profundas transformações em diversas instâncias da realidade" ["Each historical time is marked by certain keywords that catch the spirit of that time. Today, everything concerning the scope of “Bios” (life) has a instigating newness, as well as an attractive singularity. We are speaking of “biogenetics” (a new science of the life re-creation), of “bioterrorism” (the manufactures of biological weapons with a destructive lifer-threatening potential), “bio-fuels” (new energy sources extracted from vegetation), and “molecular biology” (opening the doors for the genomic revolution), among many other specialties that start with the prefix “Bios”. Linked to this explosion of new knowledge regarding “life” “bioethics” seems to be a critical landmark for reflection and discernment of values before this bio-techno-scientific revolution. The present article aims to reflect the trajectory of bioethical ground ideas in these forty years at a time of uncertainties and deep transformations in several elements of the reality"]
