Abstract
"Apart from encouraging Pentecostal ministers to depend on the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit, providing formal theological training for them is crucial for maintaining Pentecostal unity in faith and effectiveness in missions. Moreover, a proper theological training can help them to be watchful of false teachings so that they will be able to nurture Pentecostal believers with sound doctrines. For example, the problem of “Jesus Only” teaching, which the Assemblies of God faced during the period of its inception, was solved by studying the Bible and Church history that resulted in the declaration of the statement of faith."
