Abstract
"El presente artículo reflexiona desde los 4 principios de la bioética el uso comercial de organismos genéticamente modificados. Se cuestiona fundamentalmente la falta de transferencia de tecnología entre el mundo desarrollado y en desarrollo y el que el presente sistema de patentamiento de organismos vivos modificados fomenta intereses comerciales y no da debida importancia al desarrollo sostenible de la agricultura y ganadería en los países en desarrollo, donde más se necesita. Se reflexiona sobre la importancia que tiene evaluar los riesgos antes de introducirse en el mercado organismos genéticamente modificados y la necesidad de regulación en los países" ["The present article reflects from the 4 principles of bioethics on the commercial use of genetically modified organisms. We question essentially the lack of technology transference between the developed world and the developing world and the fact that the current system for patenting live modified organisms foments commercial interests and does not give due importance to sustainable development of agriculture and cattle raising in the developing countries, where it is more needed. We reflected on the importance of evaluating the risks before introducing genetically modified organisms in the market and the necessity country-wide regulation"]
