Abstract
This article discusses the contribution of Ibnu Khaldun for writing of Islamic history. The results of this study show that Ibnu Khaldun made a sharp criticism to the mistakes of the previous writing on Islamic history and offered the essential principles for further reforms of Islamic history writing.
