Abstract
"O livro de Vítor Westhelle retoma um tema tão caro quanto pouco en-frentado na teologia cristã: a busca da verdade. É composto de dez reflexões profundas tendo como base a theologia crucis, de Lutero, tocando em temas teológicos, do conflito fé e razão aos diálogos com saberes oriundos de mo-mentos pontuais da história da teologia, das filosofias de traço iluminista e existencialista, e da poesia e das artes, enfrentando o debate com os conflitos existenciais da civilização que mais invadiu, colonizou, explorou, dominou e matou, muitas vezes empunhando a própria cruz, e à qual, durante séculos tiveram que, penitencialmente, voltar" ["The book of Victor Westhelle revives a bit as expensive as en-frentado in Christian theology: the search for truth. It consists of ten deep reflections based on the theologia crucis, Luther, playing in theological themes of faith and reason conflict to dialogue with knowledge derived from specific mo-ments in the history of theology, the trace Enlightenment philosophy and existentialist, and poetry and the arts, facing the debate with the existential conflicts of civilization that most invaded, colonized, exploited, dominated and killed, often holding the cross itself, and which for centuries had to, penitencialmente come back"]
