Abstract
"O conceito de refugiado ambiental não é claro, porque não são apenas as alterações climáticas que impactam diretamente esse grupo, mas os efeitos de tais fenômenos atmosféricos sobre o meio ambiente, do qual depende sua sobrevivência. Questões ambientais lograram espaços significativos nos fóruns internacionais nas últimas décadas, e os debates atuais já não se restringem em distinguir culpados e vítimas, na medida em que toda a comunidade internacional tem sua parcela de responsabilidade, e toda a humanidade é, de certa forma, vítima. Isso porque, embora sejam eventos locais, suas causas e consequências podem ter origens e repercussões globais. Somos levados a considerar que a problemática é uma questão bioética" ["The concept of environmental refugee is unclear, because it is not just climate change that directly affects people from this group, but the effects of such atmospheric phenomena on the environment, from which depends their survival. Environmental issues have achieved significant spaces in international forums in the last decades, and current debates are no longer restricted to distinguishing perpetrators from victims, to the extent that the entire international community has its share of responsibility, and all humanity is somehow a victim. For although they are local events, their causes and origins and consequences may have global repercussions. We are led to believe that the problem is a bioethical issue"]
