Abstract
"Este artigo propõe uma leitura dos escritos de Donatien de Sade a partir de práticas retórico-filosóficas vigentes no fim da Época Moderna. Assim, apresenta-se primeiramente a tradição crítica contemporânea aos textos de Sade e como ela ajuda a compreendê-lo. Depois aponta-se, dentre as noções de romance disponíveis naquele momento, aquela que ele adotou em seus trabalhos. Por fim, identifica-se a forma do herói nos romances de Sade, vendo-a como um elemento dessas molduras retórico-filosóficas" ["This article proposes a reading of the writings of Donatien de Sade from rhetorical and philosophical practices prevailing at the end of the Modern Age. Thus, it presents first contemporary critical tradition to Sade texts and how it helps to understand it. After it is pointed out, among the novel notions available at that time, that he adopted in his work. Finally, it identifies the form of the hero in the novels of Sade, seeing it as an element of these rhetorical and philosophical frames"]
