Abstract
"Celebramos que la humanidad ha avanzado tanto a lo largo de la Historia, entre otras razones, porque nos hemos equivocado mucho. Todos. Todos tenemos alguna responsabilidad ante la historia y 2009 puede marcar el comienzo de un hito, como en su momento fue la abolición de la esclavitud y como ojalá pronto sea la derrota del hambre y la pobreza. Comprendemos el sufrimiento de muchas mujeres ante un embarazo imprevisto. Necesitan un apoyo que sólo personas con corazón pueden prestar… y hay muchas personas así. La defensa de esas mujeres clama a nuestra conciencia y una mirada compasiva nos recuerda que otro ser humano comparte esa tragedia en una posición de mayor debilidad todavía. El avance científico nos brinda hoy datos clave desconocidos en buena parte del siglo XX. Qué coraje social mostramos con esa evidencia desde los ámbitos universitarios, políticos, económicos".
