Abstract
"O paradoxo da existência do mal em contraste à onisciência de Deus (Teodiceia) é um assunto de preocupação filosófica, mas pouco explorado na área de estudos bíblicos. Isto, talvez, porque a Bíblia parece sinalizar uma opinião contrária ao que costuma ser defendido a favor da justiça de Deus, a exemplo de Isaías 45:7: “faço a paz e crio o mal.” Através de uma análise exegética do texto, este trabalho compreende que o “mal” criado por Deus deve ser compreendido com desastre físico (material), mas nunca moral. O conceito de Deus como “O Senhor da História” enfatiza a autoridade divina sobre todos os eventos, sejam bons ou maus, a exemplo de Ciro em 539 a.C., no texto-chave. Por fim, a alegação “crio o mal” representa a certeza de que Deus um dia punirá a impiedade humana" ["The paradox of the existence of evil in contrast to the omniscience of God (Theodicy) It is a matter of philosophical concern, but little explored in the field of biblical studies.
