Abstract
This article tries to present and discuss the possibility of the existence of an Enneateuch, as a composite work which represents and integrates the main traditions of the Hebrew people. The work would have appeared during the exilic times but would have been concluded in the post-exilic times, in a clear priestly perspective. Circumstances relative to the politics of the Persian rulers led to the division of the work in two distinct parts: the Pentateuch and the Prophets.
