Abstract
From 1986 significant economic reform was introduced in Vietnam. The broad economic reform package (Renovation) started in 1991. However knowledge of Vietnamese people in general and entrepreneurs in particular in business ethics is still incomplete, most equating business ethics with obeying the law in business. The misunderstanding has lead to a narrow application range of business ethics; moreover, it would be an obstacle to promote the ability of business ethics in a country which has not fully and completely developed a legislative system such as Vietnam.
