Abstract
"Me gustaría poder responder negativamente a la pregunta que da título a este artículo, e incluso con un signo de admiración: ¡de ninguna manera! Así debería ser si nos atenemos a la Constitución Española, a la secularización de la sociedad española, al ideario fundacional del PSOE y a su trayectoria más que centenaria, hasta la llegada al poder. Es en ese momento en el que comienza la renuncia gradual a su tradición laica e inicia sus alianzas con la Iglesia católica, sobre todo en la segunda etapa del Gobierno de Rodríguez Zapatero. Ahora mi respuesta no puede ser más que afirmativa. Efectivamente, el Gobierno, y me atrevería a decir que también el Parlamento, han perdido parte de su autonomía y de su carácter laico. ¿Quién lo iba a decir casi treinta años después de que la Constitución Española declarase que “ninguna confesión tendrá carácter estatal” (16.3)?"
