Abstract
"The 'Code of medical ethics' issued by the Medical Council of India states that physician is expected to uphold the dignity and honour of his profession. Furthermore, it states that 'a physician should affiliate with medical societies and contribute his time, energy and means so that these societies may represent the ideals of the profession"
