Abstract
"A discussão quanto ao Ensino Religioso (ER) nas escolas públicas movimenta um intenso e profícuo debate em diferentes perspectivas. O tema do ER vem sendo debatido na academia a partir de diferentes olhares. Esses olhares passam pela discussão sobre a legitimidade ou não do ER em escolas públicas, uma vez que o Estado é laico; do fenômeno religioso como um componente a ser estudado como parte da formação para a cidadania; da formação docente para a tarefa do ER. Por esses e outros olhares, o tema do ER suscita discussões e debates em diferentes níveis. Este artigo pretende analisar a (in)viabilidade do ER, pontuando questões pertinentes ao debate" ["The discussion regarding Religious Education (RE) in public schools moves an intense and fruitful discussion on different perspectives. The theme of RE has been debated in academia from different looks. These looks are for discussion about the legitimacy or otherwise of RE in public schools since the state is secular; of religious phenomenon as a component to be studied as part of training for citizenship; of teacher training for the task of RE.
