"Algunos textos de la colección sapiencial poseen una primorosa elaboración. Uno de los textos más atrayentes es el cap. 8 del libro de los Proverbios, con sus himnos o poemas en que la sabiduría personificada se comunica en primera persona. Este símbolo de la sabiduría personificada tiene su origen en el postexilio, cuando las familias israelitas experimentan un gran empobrecimiento causado, sobretodo, por el pago de tributos a los persas, tasas para el templo y otras cuestiones de tierra. En la religión familiar y en las aldeas, los ritos expresan un profundo anhelo de vida." "Some texts of the wisdom collection have an improved elaboration. One of the most fascinating passages is chapter 8 of the Book of Proverbs with its hymns or poems, where the personified wisdom comunicates herself in the first person. This symbol of personified wisdom finds its origin in the post-exilic period, when the Israelite families experience a great impoverishment caused by tributes payed to the Persians, taxes to the temple, and land problems. In the family religion and in the villages, the rites express a deep wish of life."
