Abstract
This article discusses the attitude of Indonesian Muslims against the Dutch colonial administration as reflected in a number of fatwas issued by Ahmad Dahlan (d. 1886), Shafi'i in Makkah which was a focus for asking by Muslims in Indonesia; Sayyid Uthman (7822-7914) a Dutch honorary adviser to the Arab issues, and Hashim Ash'ari (1.871-1947) a founder of NU. Ahmad Dahlan in some his fatwas as detailed in his book al-Nafa'is Muhimmat, "received" (acceptance) the existence of government Dutch colonial as long as they do not conflict with Islamic law, and Sayyid Uthman not just accept, he even approve it (approval) because the Dutch government gave freedom for Muslims to conduct worship. In contrast to both, Hasyim Asyari against (Aggression) Dutch colonialism.
