Abstract
In a culture that emliodiea long literary traditions and possesses rieh classical texts that has constituted a pluralistic religious world, how is the Christian Bible iead and interpreted in China? Since modern China is a period in which Chinese Chrisrian intellectuals have loeen very aetiye in theologieal construction and biblical interpretation, this paper will choose Wu Leichuan and Zhao Zinhen rot the eaae study. Through an analysis of their reading etrategiea, this paper intends to describe and critique the general principles and methodologies that are used by wu and zhao in reading the Bible and to examine their contributions to chineae hihlinal hermeneutics.
