Abstract
This article discusses the independence education for youth through youth organization (karang taruna) in Ponorogo. Independence Education becomes a model of education for the youth to realize superior and progressive youth. With descriptive phenomenological approach, this research is expected to provide the field data which is authentic and comprehensive objective. The results of this research are the discovery of several self-contained educational model that is applied to some of the Youth organization in Ponorogo in order to realize an independent and progressive youth. With some models of educational activities about the independence applied was able to make the youth managed to find themselves as an independent and progressive young man to be able to compete in the global era.
