Abstract
"Cada vez más, los cristianos se ven expuestos al debate médico y teológico acerca del potencial efecto abortivo de la píldora anticonceptiva (en adelante la píldora). Hay quien sostiene que la píldora, en ambas de sus fórmulas (la contraceptiva oral combinada [COC], que contiene hormonas estrógenas y gestágenas, y la píldora únicamente progestina [POP], que contiene sólo progesterona), posee un efecto abortivo, al menos en ocasiones.1.2,3.4,5,6,7,8 Por «efecto abortivo» se refieren a que la píldora provoca la muerte no natural ni identificable de los niños concebidos en algún momento entre la concepción y el «embarazo identificado de la paciente», es decir, el momento en que la mujer se da cuenta por signos o síntomas de que está encinta. Un embarazo identificado de la paciente puede confirmarse clínicamente mediante examen físico, ecografía o test de laboratorio". Unidentified pregnancy patient can be confirmed clinically by physical examination , ultrasound or test laboratory".]
