Abstract
"La confirmación, después del 3 de diciembre,de que el proyecto de país que nos impulsa y nos identificará en el mundo entero es una propuesta marcada por el socialismo —un socialismo que no es el del siglo XIX, que remite a la teoría marxista pero no es lo mismo, que tampoco es el socialismo cubano, sino venezolano— nos obliga a pensar y elaborar cómo es este socialismo del siglo XXI, no sólo en teoría sino en la praxis. Quienes hemos comprometido el corazón con el quehacer ciudadano y la educación popular estamos más obligados aún a pensar el socialismo del siglo XXI en Venezuela, para comprender y conceptualizar el mundo que nos ha tocado habitar y co-crear. Quienes tenemos la vocación de ser educadores populares entendemos esta ocupación como un ejercicio de convivencia, trabajo y preocupación por el bien común, de quehacer transformador de toda estructura o relación opresora. No estamos hablando sólo de escolaridad, de aprobar asignaturas y lograr competencias académicas que permiten pasar de un grado a otro, y que dan como resultado un cúmulo de conocimientos y un título profesional mediante el cual acceder a un mejor trabajo. No es eso lo que está en la base del socialismo que será venezolano, ni de la educación popular de la que hablaba don Simón Rodríguez. La propuesta se entiende como una manera de ser y estar en el mundo, en la América Latina, en Venezuela, en el barrio, en la casa, desde el compromiso sociopolítico con los sectores empobrecidos, para alcanzar la justicia social para todas y todos, no para que siga habiendo pobres y ricos" ["Confirmation after December 3, that the national project that drives us and identify us the world is a proposal marked by socialism-a socialism that is not the nineteenth century, which refers to the Marxist theory but is not the same, which is not Cuban socialism, but Venezuelan-forces us to think and elaborate how this socialism of the XXI century, not only in theory but in practice. Those who have committed heart with civic duty and popular education are even more compelled to think of the XXI century socialism in Venezuela, to understand and conceptualize the world in which we live and co-create. Those who have the vocation to be popular educators understand this occupation as an exercise in coexistence work and concern for the common good, transformative work of any structure or oppressive relationship. We're not just talking about school, approved courses and achieve academic skills for moving from one grade to another, resulting in an accumulation of knowledge and a professional degree by which access to a better job. Is not that what is at the basis of socialism will be Venezuelan, and popular education speaking Simon Rodriguez. The proposal is meant as a way of being and living in the world, in Latin America, in Venezuela, in the neighborhood, in the house, from the socio-political commitment to the impoverished sectors to achieve social justice for everyone, not that there are still poor and rich"]
