Abstract
"A EQM (Experiência de Quase Morte) é o termo usado para descrever uma série de sensações que ocorrem na iminência da morte, que são relatadas por pessoas que sofrem paradas cardiorrespiratórias, dentre outras situações de emergência. A EQM tem características similares e independem da idade, formação cultural, intelectual ou da situação econômica dos pacientes. Há estudos que apontam uma incidência em torno de 11% dos pacientes acometidos por parada cardíaca. Vários modelos explicativos podem ser encontrados na literatura para eventos desse tipo, porém, até o momento nenhuma delas é totalmente satisfatória, já que todas são passíveis de ponderações. O artigo apresentou um relato de caso em duas versões: sob a ótica médica e sob a ótica do paciente visando mostrar e refletir sobre as diferenças de perspectivas, bem como discutiu o impacto no comportamento do paciente após uma experiência dessa natureza" ["NDE (Near Death Experience) is a term used to describe a series of sensations that occurs in the imminence of death, and they are reported by people who suffer cardiorespiratory arrest, amongst other emergency situations. All NDE has similar characteristics and are independent from age, cultural, intellectual status or economic situation of patients. There are studies that point to an incidence around 11% of patients having cardiac arrest. Several explanation models can be found in the literature for events of this kind, but until now none of them is totally satisfactory, since all of them present some questionable data. This article presents a case story in two versions: under the medical and under the patient points of view and it aims to show and to reflect on the differences of perspectives, as well as discuss the impact an experience such as this has in the behavior of the patient"]
