"El valor y los beneficios de la investigación dependen sustancialmente de la integridad con la que èsta se lleva a cabo. Aunque existan diferencias entre países y entre disciplinas en el modo de organizar y llevar a cabo las investigaciones, existen también principios y responsabilidades profesionales que son fundamentales para la integridad en la investigación, donde sea que ésta se realice." ["The value and benefits of research are vitally dependent on the integrity of research. While there can be and are national and disciplinary differences in the way research is organized and conducted, there are also principles and professional responsibilities that are fundamental to the integrity of research wherever it is undertaken."]
